Spelling Bee
Posted December 18th, 2007 by choellThe Spelling Bee for grades 3-5 for Indianola is scheduled for Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 10:00 in the auditorium. On Monday, January 28th there will be a third grade spelling bee to determine which third graders will participate in the bee on Tuesday. The winner of the Spelling Bee on Tuesday will advance to the District Spelling Bee on February 10, 2008.

Welcome to a New School Year in a New Building!
Posted September 20th, 2007 by choellI am so excited to be back as the Gifted and Talented Specialist at Indianola @ Everett for my 6th year. There will be some changes this year. We have expanded both in grade levels and numbers of students as well as made a transition to our new space. I will be working in all classes from 2nd through 5th and will continue to offer other opportunities including math competitions, Battle of the Books, Geography Bee, Independent Study projects, Spelling Bee, Invention Convention, Stock Market Game, Reader's Theater, and a Poetry Jam.

Posted September 8th, 2007 by webmasterYes, indeed, it is time for the first PACE meeting of the year. We hope all parents and guardians of gifted and talented students in Columbus City Schools will join us on: Monday, September 10, 2007 at Shepard Center (873 Walcutt Ave) starting at 7:00 pm.
Our guests will be staff from the Gifted and Talented Office letting us know what is new for the 2007-2008 school year in their department (the one that serves our students directly!). Come find out what they are doing and bring your questions for them.
OAGC Presents the 3rd Annual Parent Resource Fair
Posted September 8th, 2007 by webmasterParents and guardians of gifted and talented children have a special day just for them, Sunday October 7th from 3 pm - 8 pm, at the Hilton Easton in Columbus, Ohio. At the Parent Resource Fair, parents can discover the range of resources available to both them and their gifted children, learn about statewide and local activism, and meet and compare experiences with other parents. Registration opens at 3:00 and the cost is $5 per person. In order to make the most of the information provided, OAGC respectfully requests that this event be for adults only.
